TRAPMASTER uses special rechargeable batteries that are ideally suited for the intended use and function reliably even under extreme temperatures.
For all trap monitoring systems battery technology constitutes a major challenge. Transmissions, especially in bad networks, require considerable power surges from the power supply, so that all messages can be reliably transmitted.
We have carried out extensive testing with a variety of battery and rechargeable battery technologies (for example lithium-ion, nickel-metal- hydride) during the TRAMPASTER trap alert development. Almost all batteries delivered unsatisfactory results especially under cold conditions making them unusable.
Due to the environment we are against offering any disposable batteries and searched for a rechargeable battery, which provides the necessary characteristics and yet comes with a long battery life.
The battery offered here works reliably down to -20°C (optionally also as a variant for down to -40°C).
This is a replacement battery (a battery pack is always included with every TRAPMASTER trap alert). Allows immediate replacement of an empty battery with no downtime of the TRAPMASTER.
The new lithium-ion batteries are just as user-friendly and reliable as the lead gel batteries used so far, but have the following advantages:
- The battery capacity is 100% higher compared to the lead gel battery.
- The charging time is only approx. 3 hours (charging time for lead gel batteries: 2-3 days).
- No special charger is needed for charging, a conventional USB-C charging cable is sufficient
- The new battery is protected against deep discharge & short circuit
